This is the first opportunity for Lachlan and the second occasion for Elijah who was invited in 2009 for first time.

Another six players involved in the 2009 North representative have been invited: Alex Fisher, Reid Foran, Joshua L’ Hota, Zack Brancovich and Tupou Leaaetoa.

Awesome Barbarians expose All Blacks selection joke

The legend of the Baa-Baas lives on after New Zealand suffer the same fate as their 1973 predecessors. But Graham Henry's team choice was mysterious, to say the least...

The Barbarians legend came alive with a superb showing as they downed a second-string All Black team 25-18 at Twickenham.
With their just-completed successful Northern Hemisphere tour a distant memory, New Zealand’s so-called sacred try-line developed the jitters as Springbok superstar Bryan Habana effortlessly took an unprecedented hat-trick of tries.
The all-star Barbarians line-up exploded out of the blocks at a ferocious pace that stung the All Blacks early on and put them on the back foot.
And when lineout kingpin Victor Matfield stole the very first throw, it was inevitable that New Zealand were in for a long afternoon. And they consequently and unusually lacked composure, big time.
Sure, this was a second XV despite the presence of the world’s best player Richie McCaw. However, even the All Blacks skipper would be the first to admit that it was a pitiful team performance.

Lock Victor Matfield will captain a powerful Barbarians rugby side dominated by Springboks against the All Blacks at Twickenham on Sunday (NZT).
Matfield was confirmed as skipper of the invitation side for the All Blacks' tour finale, along with six other South Africans in the starting lineup.
They were winger Bryan Habana, centre Jaque Fourie, halfback Fourie du Preez, flanker Schalk Burger, hooker Bismarck du Plessis and uncapped Free State prop WP Nel.
Wallabies Drew Mitchell, Matt Giteau, Rocky Elsom and George Smith were also named in the starting lineup, while 60-test All Black Joe Rokocoko will start on the right wing for the Barbarians and mark 20-year-old Zac Guildford.
The starting lineup -- coached by Nick Mallett -- is completed by Welsh midfielder Jamie Roberts, along with Italian prop Salvatore Perugini and lock Carlo del Fava.
"We have the benefit of a full week together ahead of the match and, knowing the talent that has been assembled among the 22 players, we expect to be very competitive and give the All Blacks and the Twickenham crowd a real taste of Barbarian rugby at its best," Mallett said.
Barbarians: Drew Mitchell (Australia), Joe Rokocoko (New Zealand), Jaque Fourie (South Africa), Jamie Roberts (Wales), Bryan Habana (South Africa), Matt Giteau (Australia), Fourie du Preez (South Africa), George Smith (Australia), Schalk Burger (South Africa), Rocky Elsom (Australia), Victor Matfield (captain, South Africa), Carlo del Fava (Italy), WP Nel (Free State), Bismarck du Plessis (South Africa), Salvatore Perugini (Italy).
Reserves: Stephen Moore (Australia), Tendai Mtawarira (South Africa), Quintin Geldenhuys (Italy), Andy Powell (Wales), Will Genia (Australia), Morne Steyn (South Africa), Leigh Halfpenny (Wales).

This is an educational 12 weeks rugby union program to educate, develop U15 Brisbane North rugby union players and promote rugby union values. It is a plan based on five topics that influence on players development therefore on their performance.
The development program is focused on:

• Nutrition: Performance is also determined by what players eat.

• Fitness: Fitness for rugby is not simply being able to run all day. It is also about the unique mix of strength, power and agility required, all supported by good endurance so the players can perform strongly through the entire game.

• Basic skills & Key factors: kicking, passing, catching, running, tackling. Many players, even at professional level, have problems with the basic skills.

• Mental toughness: Rugby is 80% mental so it is vital players gain confidence through a positive approach, motivation and goal setting plan

(Sung to the tune of ‘Road to Gundagai’)

We’re the team that’s the best
We’re the team that beats the rest
We are the Barbarians from Down Under

In the lineouts we jump higher
Our backline is a flyer
Beneath the southern skies

Rain or shine you will find
That we always cross the line
We are the Barbarians from Down Under

YAH YAH!!!

(Chanté sur l'air de «Road to Gundagai ')

Nous sommes l'équipe que c'est la meilleure
Nous sommes l'équipe qui bat le reste
Nous sommes les Barbares from Down Under

Dans les pertes en ligne, nous sauter plus haut
Nos backline est un flyer
Sous le ciel austral

Pleuve ou qu'il vente, vous trouverez
Que l'on traverse toujours la ligne
Nous sommes les Barbares from Down Under

YAH YAH!

Believe in yourself

To make it happen, be always positive, believe in who you are, what are you doing, and how are you doing it.

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

You are your greatest asset,

There is nothing you can't do.

No one can keep you from dreaming,

Only you can make then come true.

What you achieve is determined

By the desire you possess.

There is no better feeling

Than the feeling of success.

Believe in who you are

And what do you do,

Don't leave things up to fate,

It's strictly up to you.

Although this is our first year as a development team most of the players and coaches involved have been working together since 2007. As a Representative North team we have won the U13 Development Carnival (2007), the State Championship (2008) and last year we finished fourth.  Next year we have planned to make an impact on players ‘ and team’s performance and have more focused development program.
